This is the Venetian multiway maxi - a dress built around the idea that the woman wearing it should get to choose how it looks. The V-neckline wraps and gathers at the front, the sash ties at the back in a low open style that lets the straps work in multiple configurations, and the elastic waist transitions into a flowing full-length skirt with a 30-inch slit. The front and back styling can each be worn at least two different ways - see the photos for the full range of options.
The result is a dress that can read anywhere from garden party to formal occasion depending entirely on how you choose to wear it. In sage olive or mauve - both work harder than they look.
A few things worth knowing before you order: the slit measures 30 inches from the hem - that's a high slit, and it's part of what gives the skirt its movement. The fabric is lightweight and the fit runs close to the body at the waist. The length runs long - petites will want a heel. And because the styling options involve wrapping and tying the straps, we recommend spending two minutes with the photos before you wear it the first time.
